WED., FEB. 15 & THURS., FEB. 16: AUDITIONS for the TALENT OLYMPICS

No experience necessary!! Play an instrument, sing, hum, juggle, act, or recite a poem. Acts are 1 to 2 minutes long. All performers should attend only one of the scheduled auditions and must have an adult sponsor. The Wednesday audition is from 2-3 pm; the Thursday audition is from 3:15 - 4:30 pm. Both are in the Happy Hollow Gym.

Bring your registration form (arriving via your child’s backpack Friday, February 10) or you can register by emailing Karen Wuerfl at kwuerfl@jfwhite.com or Tracy Scheidemantel at tscheide@comcast.net

The Happy Hollow/Loker PTO is looking forward to a great year for the Happy Hollow and Loker School communities. 

The best way to make the most of the coming school year is to get involved. Come to our events.  Participate in our fundraiser, Gift Your Child.  Volunteer your time.  We are always looking for volunteers to help out in big ways and small.  
 
Please browse our website to learn more about your PTO and how we can all work together to make 2011-2012 a great school year.  

If you have any questions or suggestions please send an e-mail or come to one of our monthly Board Meetings, which will be held the first Friday of the month at 9:15 am in the Loker Library. These meetings are open to the Happy Hollow and Loker Communities and little ones in tow are always welcome.

JUST LIKE ME -- Looking for volunteers on Thursday, March 1

Just Like Me is a program for third and fourth graders teaching children to understand what it's like to live with a disability.  We are looking for volunteers on March 1 for the last fourth grade unit, Autism Spectrum Disorder. The time are 9 to 10:30 for Ms. Devlin's class and 10:45 to 12:15 for Ms. Chan's class. Volunteering is fun and a great way to be with your child. Suggested training is on Thursday, Feb. 16 from 7 to 8 pm at Claypit Hill School. You can sign up to volunteer through our webpage. PTO Board Meeting: Friday, March 2, Loker Library

 

 

 

The Happy Hollow/Loker Board meets monthly.  These meetings are open to the entire membership and everyone is encouraged to attend. All questions, ideas or suggestions will be listened to.  Feel free to bring your little ones in tow.


COFFEE WITH BRIAN JONES: Friday, March 9, 9:15 a.m, Loker Library

Friday, March 2, 6:30 pm- 8:30 pm: TALENT SHOW OLYMPICS

The big show takes place in the Happy Hollow Gym. The students really love this event, and it could not happen without the support of many parent volunteers. If you can, commit to a couple of days or even just an hour. It's fun.

BUS DRIVER APPRECIATION BREAKFAST

Wednesday, March 7

ANNUAL PTO BINGO NIGHT

Friday, March 16, 6-8 pm, Wayland Middle School Cafeteria

This popular annual family event features bingo, pizza, popcorn, ice cream sundaes, face painting, raffles and prizes. Bingo Night can and does sell out, so keep an eye out for the sign-up sheets, which will be sent home in your child's backpack the week of Feb. 13.

If you have any items that you'd like to donate to our raffle, such as unused gift cards (restaurants, spas, stores, kids’ activities) or new/in-box quality toys (craft sets or games), contact Tracey O’Rourke at taora@verizon.net
